Why does my DT 770 / 880 / 990 PRO have mismatching Logos on Product and Packaging? Why does my DT 770/990 PRO have another connection cable with a smaller thread? Which amplifier or interface should I consider to buy to get the best sound out of my DT 770/880/990 PRO with 32/80/250 ohms? Hearing the DT 1990's intrinsic EQ profile and then hearing it again with Reference simply takes getting used to - but I've used Reference for about 3 years with Sennheiser HD25-1, AKG 712 Pro and more recently the DT 1990 and in contrast to the other opinion expressed here, I say Reference definitely gives you a more honest and neutral profile Yeah. The difference is there. Maybe not noticable in gaming. But get the 250ohm version if you really are getting an amp/DAC combo. I'll recommend the Sound Blaster G5 or G6 if you have the budget and pair that with the DT 770 pro 250ohm. Also 250ohm has a coiled cable and the 80ohm does not. I prefer the 80ohm because I hate coiled cables. The DT 770s are known for their flat sound, which is surprisingly comparable to the flat sound of the Sony MDR 7506s. However, the level of detail the DT 770s provide is not really comparable to the MDR 7506s, which make your mix sound a bit too jumbled at times. The comfort of the DT 770s is one of the biggest selling points, as the plush ear Closed vs Open Headphones (DT 770 vs DT 990) Closed cans like the 770s isolate the listener from the environment, meaning little noise gets in or out of the ear cups. Thatโ€™s great for recording where you want to minimize bleed into the microphone, as well as for public use or quiet nighttime monitoring. I since then decided to buy a Magni 3+/Modi 3 Schiit stack and want to take advantage of the power output capable of these two devices. I was wondering if upgrading to a DT 1770 250Ohm would be worth the hike in price from the DT 770 250Ohm. The DT 770 250Ohm i can get for $160 compared to the DT 1770โ€™s being $430 currently. DlTk.
